Directors and Management

DIRECTORS:
The board has worked together for many years and are a highly experienced management team, with over 60 years combined experience working within the contracting and service industries. Operations Director Nick Maybourne administers day-to-day operations and he is supported by the other board members comprising of Mick Ingram, Managing Director and Bill Evans FCA Finance Director.

OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT TEAM:

Nick Maybourne, Operations Director
Nick is the son of the former Chairman and Joint founder, Ken Maybourne. He is also a qualified electrician. Nick gained business experience working in London & New York prior to joining Maybourne & Russell. He has been employed by the company since 1994.

Nick Bedford, Senior Electrical Contracts Manager
Nick has a wealth of industry experience and was recruited to lead the electrical division upon the retirement of one of our founders Dave Russell. Nick is a qualified electrician and has worked in the electrical contracting industry since 1985. He served his apprenticeship with Pedigree Dolls & Toys. Nick has worked on major commercial and industrial projects in London and the southeast for Seeboard Contracting Services, Denne’s and EDF. Immediately prior to joining Maybourne & Russell Ltd in 2008, Nick worked for Mitie Air-conditioning in London as a project manager. Nick is also an IOSH certified Health & Safety practitioner.

Gerry Vasey, Senior Mechanical Contracts Manager
Gerry is a highly experienced manager with a broad exposure to a wide spectrum of mechanical engineering projects from design and construction of site built major storage tanks to cross county pipelines. He successfully led the installation of major mechanical installations at Canary Wharf and other high profile sites. Graduate of Newcastle University in Mechanical Engineering: He worked for Esso Research and Engineering, British Gas, Cementation Construction, Mitie Technology.

Mervyn Hayes, Health, Safety & Quality Manager
Mervyn is an IOSH certificated health and safety practitioner. In addition, Mervyn is an affiliate member of the international institute of risk and safety management and a member of the institute of plumbing. Previously, Mervyn has worked at British Gas, Maclean & Nuttall and Enterprise PLC.

Paul Gallagher, Estimating Manager
Paul is a qualified electrician and joined the electrical contracting industry immediately after leaving school in 1980. He served a formal apprenticeship with GE Wallis and also worked for Florey Hunt & WE Mannin prior to joining Maybourne & Russell Ltd in 1986. Although Paul qualified as an electrician in the early 80’s he has broadened his industry skills through running large projects, including Royal Victoria Shopping Centre. In 2003 he turned his wealth of field expertise to estimating and he has since led our estimating department.
